Multi-Vehicle Fatal Crash on Highway 101 in Corte Madera
MARIN COUNTY, Calif. (Sept. 9, 2021) — A fatal crash on Highway 101 at Tamalpais Drive in Corte Madera happened Thursday morning in Marin County.
The multi-vehicle crash happened about 8:44 a.m. on Sept. 9th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
One person is dead after a black Mercedes GLA 250 SUV, a Jeep and a black motorcycle collided due to unknown circumstances. The report also mentioned a white pickup truck, but no further details.
Police issued a SigAlert for the northbound Highway 101, just south of Tamalpais Drive. Additionally, emergency responders blocked traffic lanes with their vehicles.
Paramedics at the scene determined one person died, but it’s unknown which motorist.
Tow trucks removed all three vehicles for evidence and the SigAlert was canceled at 10:16 a.m. All traffic lanes reopened.
Also, investigators seek to determine the cause of the crash on Highway 101 at Tamalpais Drive.
