2 Killed in Crash on Highway 119 Near Taft
TAFT, Calif. (June 10, 2021) — A fatal crash on Highway 119 resulted in the death of two men early Thursday morning in the Dustin Acres area.
Additionally, it’s unknown at this time what led up to the head-on collision, but the California Highway Patrol is investigating. However, one of the motorists likely veered into the path of the other one.
The drivers of two Nissan Sentra sedans both died in the 4 a.m. collision that happened on state Route 119 midway between Sunridge Avenue and Dustin Acres Road. The identity of the two men is unknown at this time. Also, the CHP has not released their ages.
Meanwhile, police closed down the highway for roughly four hours and motorists were diverted onto Tank Farm Road.
Later, police reopened the highway about 8 a.m. following the fatal crash on Highway 119.
