Multi-Vehicle Crash on State Route 12 in Lodi, North of Stockton
LODI, Calif. (April 29, 2024) — A fatal crash involving two or three vehicles happened Sunday night on Highway 12 at Guard Road in Lodi.
The collision occurred at around 8:16 a.m. on April 28th, just north of Stockton, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.
CHP officials reported a vehicle was blocking the eastbound lane and another was in the westbound lane of Highway 12. Meanwhile, a white Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck reportedly went off the north side of the roadway into a vineyard. The vehicle had two right side tires damaged from the crash.
Firefighters responded with paramedics to help those involved, but at least one person died at the scene of the crash, the report said.
The cause of the crash and liability remain under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
