Man, Woman, Dog Killed in Collision Near Toyon Middle School
SAN ANDREAS, Calif. (Sept. 3, 2024) – Two people died Sunday night in a fatal head-on crash on Highway 12 near Toyon Middle School in the San Andreas area of Calaveras County.
A young man and young woman both died and a third person was seriously injured in the collision at 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 1st, according to the California Highway Patrol and KCRA 3 News.
Calaveras Consolidated Fire responded to the crash scene and located two vehicles crashed including a blue Ford Mustang and a pickup or SUV.
A young man and young woman were confirmed dead at the scene and another young man was airlifted to a hospital with major injuries, the report said.
Also, a small dog from one of the vehicles died in the collision.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the San Andreas crash on Highway 12 in Calaveras County.
