Semi-Truck, Minivan Crash on Pearblossom 138 Highway
LITTLEROCK, Calif. (April 29, 2024) — A fatal crash between a semi-truck and a minivan happened early Monday morning on Pearblossom Highway 138 near Hampel Avenue and east of Littlerock.
The two-vehicle collision occurred at around 5:28 a.m. on April 29th, according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash happened less than 24 hours after another deadly crash that took the lives of five people on Pearblossom Highway.
The drivers of a semi-truck and a gray Honda minivan were involved, but it’s unknown at this time what led up to the traffic accident.
Paramedics from the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded and confirmed the death of one person at the scene.
The diesel truck was possibly on the right shoulder with its hazards on at the time of the collision. Police closed down Highway 138 to clear debris from the roadway, tow the damaged vehicles and conduct an investigation into the cause of the crash.
The name of the person who died will be released by the Los Angeles County Sheriff Coroner.
