Fatal Crash Highway 156 near Oak Hills Drive in Monterey County
Woman Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash in Oak Hills
MOUNTEREY COUNTY, Calif. (Oct. 13, 2023) — A fatal crash happened Friday morning on Highway 156 near Oak Hills Drive in the unincorporated Oak Hills area of Monterey County.
The collision occurred at around 2:09 a.m. on Oct. 13th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported two vehicles were involved in the crash. The drivers of a brown Buick LaSaber and a blue Honda sedan collided due to unknown circumstances.
Police say a woman was unconscious in a vehicle after the collision and died at the scene.
Caltrans closed down State Route 156 between Oak Hills Drive and Cathedral Oaks Road, but it reopened around 5:18 a.m.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the crash on Highway 156 in Oak Hills.
