Margaret Tinnel Injured in 2-Car Accident
FOREST RANCH, Calif. (July 28, 2023) – A fatal crash on Highway 32 and Nopel Road happened Thursday afternoon in the Forest Ranch area, just east of Chico.
One person was killed and another injured in the two-vehicle collision occurred around 3:15 p.m. on July 27th, according to Action News Now.
A 74-year-old woman driving a red Ford sedan was heading eastbound on Highway 32 when she reportedly crossed the double yellow lines at a curve in the roadway. She collided head-on into a westbound white car driven by an 87-year-old Chico man.
The man became trapped in his vehicle and suffered fatal injuries at the scene. Meanwhile, the woman, identified as Margaret l. Tinnel, 74, of Forest Ranch, suffered major injuries. She was airlifted to Enloe Medical Center.
The Butte County Sheriffs Office will release the man’s name after relatives are notified.
The fatal crash on Highway 32 remains under investigation.
