Fatal Crash Reported on US 395 North of Bridgeport
MONO COUNTY, Calif. (August 12, 2025) — Authorities responded to a fatal crash Tuesday morning on northbound US Highway 395 north of Bridgeport in Mono County.
The incident was first reported shortly before 9 a.m. on August 12th, prompting a swift response from local law enforcement and emergency teams. Air operations were requested to assist with aerial photography and scene assessment.
According to California Highway Patrol dispatch logs, evidence tow services were arranged to remove the vehicle involved in the collision. Rescue and investigation teams worked throughout the morning, with Inland Air Operations coordinating efforts from the air.
The identity of the victim and details regarding the cause of the crash have not yet been released.
Officials have not provided an estimated time of clearance but indicated it may take over an hour from mid-morning. Roughly 30 feet of fencing was damaged and required repair following the traffic collision.
