
Man Killed, 2 Injured in Car Accident in Nicolaus
NICOLAUS, Calif. (Sept. 11, 2023) — A 61-year-old Marysville man died Saturday night in a two-vehicle crash at Highway 99 and Garden Highway.
The man’s passenger and the second driver were injured in the 7:02 p.m. collision on Sept. 9th, according to the the California Highway Patrol Sutter-Yuba station.
A driver in a Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck broadsided the driver’s side door of a Ford vehicle. The Ford driver had been traveling on Garden Highway when it crossed into the path of the pickup truck while attempting a turn. The driver in the Ford became trapped and died at the scene.
Meanwhile, a passenger in the Ford and the driver of the pickup truck were transported to Adventist Health and Rideout for treatment of undisclosed injuries.
Investigators are working on the case and whether or not alcohol was a factor in the crash.
