One Dead, One Hurt in Hollywood Freeway Collision
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Oct. 28, 2021) – A fatal Hollywood (101) Freeway crash killed a male passenger and injured a driver at the Vine Street off ramp.
The collision happened about 4:23 a.m. on Oct. 28th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A driver allegedly veered off the freeway, crashed through some trees and slammed into building. The passenger was ejected from the vehicle and severely injured.
CHP officials report the Los Angeles Police Department responded to the scene at the Vine Street off ramp from the 101 freeway. They located a injured passenger, described as a man in his 40s, who died at the scene.
Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle suffered undisclosed injuries and was transported by ambulance to a hospital, according to the LAPD.
Police closed down the freeway at the Vine Street exit to conduct an investigation. It’s unknown if drugs and or alcohol were factors in the fatal Hollywood (101) Freeway crash.
