Fatal Crash in Delano at Wallace Road and Cecil Avenue

One Killed, Two Injured at Intersection Near Delano

KERN COUNTY, Calif. (May 8, 2025) — One person lost their life in a two-vehicle crash just east of Delano at Cecil Avenue and Wallace Road Wednesday afternoon in Kern County.

The crash occurred around 3:38 p.m. on May 7th, between a green Chevrolet pick-up truck and a dark blue Toyota sedan, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Police responded to the scene, along with paramedics, who transported two people to Kern Medical Center. The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.

One person died following the crash, but there are no further details. The CHP is heading up an investigation into what happened and will determine fault.
