1 Dead, 2 Injured in Crash on I-15 in Riverside County
TEMESCAL VALLEY, Calif. (March 22, 2023) – A fatal crash on the Interstate 15 Freeway happened Wednesday morning, just north of Indian Truck Trail in Temescal Valley.
The crash occurred on the northbound I-15 around 11:39 p.m. on March 21st in Riverside County, according to the CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire Department.
A driver and two passengers in a blue Hyundai Elantra veered off the freeway and down a ravine, roughly 25 feet off the roadway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Firefighters responded to the scene and located a single vehicle on its roof with three people trapped inside. One of the people suffered fatal injuries at the scene. Meanwhile, the other two were injured and transported to Inland Valley Medical Center.
The report did not mention the age, gender or identity of those involved in the crash.
The Riverside County Sheriff Coroner responded to the scene and the California Highway Patrol is overseeing the investigation into the fatal crash on the 15 Freeway.
