Deadly Crash on I-15 Freeway in Calada near Cal-Nev Border
CALADA, Calif. (April 18, 2022) — A fatal crash on the Interstate 15 Freeway happened Monday morning near the Yates Well Road on ramp in Calada, near the California-Nevada border.
A pregnant woman reported the crash to 911 operators about 5:53 a.m. on April 18th, according to the California Highway Patrol. The collision happened in the southbound fast lane and at least two vehicles blocked the freeway.
She reported a gray Honda Civic was involved in the collision and that at least four people suffered injuries. One person was trapped in a vehicle and another person died at the scene.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner responded to the I-15 Freeway. Also, paramedics treated at least one person for unknown injuries.
There are no further details at this time.
Investigators are piecing together what happened and will determine fault for the Interstate 15 Freeway crash.
