Fatal Crash Interstate 210 Freeway, Milliken Avenue, Rancho Cucamonga
Multi-Vehicle Car Accident on Foothill Freeway
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. (Oct. 12, 2023) — A multi-vehicle crash on the eastbound Interstate 210 Freeway happened Thursday morning in Rancho Cucamonga.
The collision, involving roughly three vehicles, happened around 3:06 a.m. on Oct. 12th, just west of Milliken Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The initial report stated there was a dark-colored Honda Civic blacked out in the Nos. 2 and 3 lanes on the freeway. Next, the 911 caller advised CHP operators that “He was turning around to put up lights behind the vehicle.” Just a minute later, a van collided with the Honda.
Another driver in a semi-truck called 911 to report the crash, but was not involved. Finally, a driver in a grey Toyota Tacoma collided with the vehicles.
Paramedics responded to help those involved, but at least one person died at the scene. It’s unknown if there are also injuries to others.
CHP officials requested three tow trucks to remove the vehicles for evidence.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the fatal crash on the 210 Freeway.
