Interstate Highway 280 Fatality Collision
DALY CITY, Calif. (Jan. 8, 2024) — A fatal crash happened early Monday on the southbound Interstate 280 Freeway near the Eastmoor Avenue off ramp in Daly City.
The collision between a silver minivan and a black sedan occurred in the fast lane at around 2:43 a.m. on Jan. 8th, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch. One of the vehicles overturned and glass was scattered in traffic lanes.
At least one person is dead following the crash that was also blocking the Nos. 2 and 3 lanes, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Police issued a SigAlert and requested a response from the San Mateo County Coroner.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the crash on the 280 Freeway in Daly City.
