Police Investigating Car Accident on I-280 in Burlingame
BURLINGAME, Calif. (Feb. 1, 2024) — A fatal crash happened Thursday on the northbound Interstate 280 Freeway, just south of the Trousdale Drive off ramp in Burlingame.
The two-vehicle collision occurred at around 6:40 a.m. on Feb. 1st, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials reported located a vehicle under a tree on the right shoulder of the freeway. They requested paramedics due to complaints of pain from at least one person and confirmed the death of another person on scene. The victim’s age, gender and identity were not released, pending notification of next of kin.
Police issued a SigAlert due to the No. 4 lane being blocked by vehicles and emergency responders.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the fatal crash on the 280 Freeway.
