Deadly, 3-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 405 Freeway in Orange County
FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif. (Nov. 24, 2021) – A fatal crash on the Interstate 405 Freeway happened early Wednesday morning at Brookhurst Street.
The deadly crash happened about 2:45 a.m. on Nov. 24th in the northbound lanes of the I-405 between three motorists, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The drivers of a black 2015 Maserati Ghibli, a gray 2005 Honda Civic and a black 2013 Ford Fusion collided due to unknown circumstances, police said. The Maserati wound up facing the wrong way in traffic lanes following the collision.
At least one person died, but it’s unknown how many. Also, the report did not say if anyone was injured in the collision or went to a hospital.
CHP officials requested the Orange County Sheriff Coroner respond to the fatal crash on the 405 Freeway at 3:14 a.m.
Investigators are working to determine the cause of the collision as well as liability.
