Deadly Crash on I-805 Freeway in Ridgeview/Webster Area

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (Oct. 17, 2023) — A fatal crash on the Interstate 805 Freeway happened late Monday night near State Route 94 in the Ridgeview/Webster area of San Diego.

The two-vehicle collision occurred at around 11:49 p.m. on Oct. 16th, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials reported a driver in a white Nissan Altima was heading north on the I-805 when it struck a pole on the right shoulder and wrapped around it.

It’s unknown what led up to the accident, but the CHP report stated two vehicles were involved and the second one was located at the end of the transition at State Route 94.

The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office responded to assist with the deceased person, however, the identity has not been released.

Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the crash on the Interstate 805 Freeway.
