Deadly Collison on I-580 Near Castro Valley
ALAMEDA COUNTY, Calif. (August 28, 2023) — A fatal crash involving two vehicles happened Sunday morning on the westbound Interstate 580 Freeway at Eden Canyon Road in the Dublin area.
The deadly collision occurred in the two right lanes of the freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol report. Both vehicles reportedly overturned during the collision and several motorists stopped to help those involved.
Someone called 911 to report the crash and request police and paramedics.
Unfortunately, at least one person suffered major injuries and died at the scene. It’s unknown if there were others hurt in the crash or hospitalized.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the fatal crash on the Interstate 580 Freeway in Alameda County.
