Deadly Car Accident at Whittier Intersection

WEST WHITTIER-LOS NIETOS, Calif. (Nov. 27, 2023) — A fatal two-vehicle crash happened Monday at Mines Boulevard and Sorensen Avenue in West Whittier-Los Nietos.

The deadly crash occurred at around 12:39 p.m. on Nov. 27th, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials reported the drivers of a white Chevrolet Silverado SUV and a turquoise Chevrolet Silverado were involved. The vehicles collided due to unknown circumstances and were blocking the roadway.

Paramedics responded to help those involved, but unfortunately at least one person died. It’s unknown how many others were hurt at this time.

Meanwhile, investigators are working on the case to determine fault and tow trucks removed the damaged vehicles from the intersection.

The fatal crash on Mines Boulevard remains under investigation.
