Woman Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash in Hidden Meadows

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, Calif. (Oct. 7, 2024) — A fatal crash happened Monday at Old Highway 395 and Gopher Canyon Road near Hidden Meadows and Escondido.

The multi-vehicle crash occurred at 1:38 p.m. on Oct. 7th, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials reported a black Honda, a blue van, and a white vehicle were possibly involved. One of the vehicles crashed off the roadway into the bushes.

Paramedics responded and rushed an injured woman to Palomar Medical Center, but she later died on the way or at the hospital.

It’s unknown at this time if others were injured in the collision.

Investigators are working to determine fault for the crash on Old Highway 395.
