Semi-Truck, Mini Cooper Crash on Highway 247
LUCERNE VALLEY, Calif. (August 26, 2022) — A fatal crash on Old Woman Springs Road also known as state route 247 happened Friday morning near Santa Fe Fire Road.
The two-vehicle crash occurred about 4:14 a.m. on August 26th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The drivers of a green Mini Cooper and a semi-truck collided in a rollover crash. The car reportedly overturned multiple times before it landed back on its wheels. The driver in the Mini Cooper reportedly died in the crash, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner. The person was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:35 a.m.
The two-vehicle crash occurred in the westbound lanes of Highway 247.
It’s unknown what led up to the collision at this time.
Investigators with the Morongo office of the California Highway Patrol are working on the case to determine fault for the accident.
