Man Killed, Two Injured on Olympic Blvd., in the Sawtelle Area
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Dec. 13, 2024) — A fatal crash last night involving six vehicles happened on Olympic Boulevard at Centinela Avenue in the Sawtelle area of West Los Angeles.
The traffic accident, which involved roughly six vehicles, occurred around 8:12 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12th, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The LAPD responded to the intersection where a man in his 50s driving a black Tesla sedan collided with a driver in an SUV making a left-hand turn. The Tesla crashed into a large tree in the center median and died at the scene.
Meanwhile, an SUV overturned and another vehicle wound up on its side.
A total of six vehicles including two Teslas, an Audi SUV, a Mazda, a Mercedes and one other vehicle were involved.
Paramedics transported at least one person who was critically injured to a hospital and another was treated for minor injuries, police said.
Investigators are working on the case to determine if speed or other factors contributed to the collision.
