One Killed in Collision on Pomona 60 Freeway
MONTEREY PARK, Calif. (Oct. 24, 2023) – One man died in a crash involving a box truck and a car Monday night on the Pomona (60) Freeway in Monterey Park.
The two-vehicle collision occurred at around 11:24 p.m. on Oct. 23rd, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officers responded to South Atlantic Boulevard and the westbound 60 freeway and came upon the crash between a gray Toyota Camry and the truck.
They located the victim in one of the two vehicles that were blocking traffic lanes on the freeway, according to MyNewsLA.
Unfortunately, the person sustained major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, there was a major cleanup of glass and debris strewn across the freeway that required clean up and vehicles were towed from the scene.
Finally, the cause of the fatal crash on the 60 Freeway in Monterey Park remains under investigation.
