CARSON, Calif. (Sept. 11, 2026) – A fatal crash involving a motorcycle or bicycle happened Friday morning on Avalon Boulevard in Carson. It’s unknown at this time if any other vehicles were involved.

The traffic accident occurred around 6:30 a.m. on Sept. 11th in the 17200 block of Avalon Boulevard, near the Gardena (91) Freeway, according to the
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Carson Station.

There were no further details about the collision or the identity of the person who died. The California Highway Patrol reportedly shut down the off-ramp from the westbound 91 Freeway to Avalon Boulevard.

Detectives are working on the case.
