Deadly Crash on State Route 33 in Stanislaus County
MODESTO, Calif. (Nov. 20, 2024) — A fatal, three-vehicle crash happened Wednesday on Highway 33 and West Stanislaus Road, just west of Modesto.
The multi-vehicle collision occurred on State Route 33 at around 8:12 a.m. on Nov. 20th, but the roadway reopened by 11 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
It’s unknown what led up to the collision that resulted in one car crashing into a power pole at the intersection.
Paramedics responded and confirmed one person dead and the Stanislaus County Coroner was requested to respond to the scene.
A tow truck removed the sedan from the roadway and PG&E responded to repair the broken power pole.
