Arkansas Man, 22, Killed in Head-on Crash
KINGS COUNTY, Calif. (August 29, 2024) – A 22-year-old Arkansas man died and a second driver was injured Wednesday in a head-on crash on Highway 41 in Kings County.
The deadly collision occurred at around 10:30 p.m. on August 28th, just north of Nevada Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP deputies responded and are heading up the investigation.
According to Your Central Valley News, the 22-year-old Shenlong Phanomsack of Arkansas was driving a white Toyota RAV4 SUV southbound on Highway 41. Meanwhile, a 26-year-old Hanford man was driving a tan Toyota Tacoma pickup truck on northbound Highway 41.

For unknown reasons, the Arkansas man’s SUV moved into the northbound lane and collided head-on with the Tacoma. The truck overturned upon impact and its driver suffered minor injuries.
However, the driver from the RAV4 SUV identified as Shenlong Phanomsack died at the scene.
Police investigating the crash do not suspect alcohol or drugs were a factor in this crash.
