One Killed, Two Injured in 3-Vehicle Collision on State Route 65
DELANO, Calif. (May 30, 2024) — A fatal three-vehicle crash happened Wednesday night on Porterville Highway 65, just south of Sherwood Avenue and east of Delano.
The three-vehicle traffic accident occurred at around 6:22 p.m. on May 29th, just north of Bakersfield in Kern County, according to the California Highway Patrol report.
Police responded and located a silver van blocking the roadway, as well as a silver Toyota pickup truck and a white sedan down an embankment. Two people were trapped in their vehicles. The vehicles had major damage from the collision.
Unfortunately, the driver of the white sedan died at the scene of the collision and two others were airlifted to a hospital after they suffered serious injuries.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the Delano crash on Highway 65.
