NORWALK, Calif., (September 10, 2026) — A devastating fatal crash involving an Amazon truck, a Ford Transit van, and a car happened early Thursday morning on the Interstate 5 Freeway South near Rosecrans Avenue in Norwalk.
The incident, which occurred at approximately 12:06 a.m. on Sept. 10th, happened in the southbound lanes of the Interstate 5 Freeway. According to reports, the Amazon semi-truck collided with the large Ford van, which overturned onto its side on the freeway, causing significant disruption. A white Honda sedan was involved and had rear-end damage. The serious collision reportedly occurred near a construction zone, compounding the hazards faced by drivers.
Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene, with units arriving shortly after the collision was reported. CPR was performed, and all parties involved were transported to the University of California Irvine Medical Center.
