Fatal Solo Crash on Valley of the Falls Drive in San Bernardino County
SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, Calif., (July 1, 2026) — A tragic collision transpired early Wednesday morning, resulting in a fatality on Valley of the Falls Drive near Marcy Road in San Bernardino County.
The crash was reported on July 1st at approximately 1:21 a.m. at the location identified as 40555 Valley of the Falls Drive. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), a solo vehicle collision involved a suspected DUI driver. The vehicle reportedly veered off the road, coming to a stop partially on a rock.
Deadly Collision in Forest Falls
Emergency services, including the fire department and paramedics, responded promptly to the scene. Tragically, one party was found trapped under the vehicle and was subsequently extricated by fire personnel. Despite CPR efforts, the individual, whose identity has not yet been released, succumbed to their injuries.
The crash scene was further complicated by dense fog conditions, which reportedly affected visibility for both responders and other motorists. The CHP coordinated with Cal Fire and medical responders to facilitate the incident response and subsequent road closure for investigation and evidence collection.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office was notified to call out the coroner, and Edwin’s Towing was engaged to manage the vehicle recovery.
