Man Killed in Pomona Freeway Car Accident
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (March 10, 2023) – One man died early Friday morning in a multi-vehicle Rosemead crash on the Pomona (60) Freeway.
The traffic accident occurred around 4:53 a.m. in the westbound lanes of the freeway at San Gabriel Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The drivers of a gray SUV, a second vehicle and a semi-truck were involved in the accident. The big rig truck also was blocking the left-hand lane, the CHP said.
Meanwhile, paramedics responded to help those hurt in the crash, but one man died at the scene, according to the CHP. The Los Angeles County Sheriff Coroner will release his name after his family members are notified.
Authorities closed down the westbound 60 Freeway to conduct an investigation into what led up to the traffic accident and will determine fault.
Finally, traffic lanes reopened around 7 a.m., according to the CHP report.
