Fatal Crash Puente Avenue, Cagliero Street in West Puente Valley
One Person Killed in Crash on Puente Avenue
WEST PUENTE VALLEY, Calif. (Feb. 16, 2024) — A fatal crash happened Friday morning at Cagliero Street and Puente Avenue in West Puente Valley.
The collision occurred at around 4:39 a.m. on Feb. 16th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported at least one vehicle was involved, but there are no further details.
The collision occurred in the northbound No. 1 lane of Puente Avenue. Paramedics with the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded and confirmed one man deceased at the scene. The victim was later identified as Reino Reyes, 58, by the Los Angeles County Sheriff Coroner.
Authorities closed down the northbound lanes of Puente Avenue between Sunkist and Cagliero to investigate the circumstances leading to the collision. Foothill Towing removed one vehicle from the scene of the crash.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff Coroner responded to take the victim.
The case remains under investigation.
