Rollover Crash on I-15 in Rancho Cucamonga
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. (July 31, 2023) — A fatal crash in Rancho Cucamonga happened Monday afternoon on the southbound Interstate 15 Freeway, just north of Baseline Road.
The multi-vehicle collision occurred around 2:33 p.m. on July 31st, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The drivers of a green van and a grey Toyota SUV collided and one overturned onto its side. A witness saw the van swerve before it overturned and collided with the SUV.
One person became trapped underneath the vehicle and died at the scene. It’s unknown if anyone else was hurt in the collision.
There is no further information at this time, but this story will be updated as more information is released.
The CHP is heading up the investigation into the fatal crash on the Interstate 15 Freeway.
