Fatal Crash Rio Oso at Cornelius Avenue and Pleasant Grove Road

Deadly, 2-Vehicle Car Accident at Rio Oso Intersection

RIO OSO, Calif. (Jan. 5, 2024) — One person died in a two-vehicle fatal crash at Cornelius Avenue and Pleasant Grove Road in Rio Oso.

The California Highway Patrol reported the collision at 2:28 p.m. on Jan. 5th between a Toyota Highlander SUV and a Toyota Prius.

A 75-year-old man was one of three occupants in the SUV who was possibly trapped in the SUV. One of the people died following the collision, but there is no further information.

Meanwhile, tow trucks removed both of the vehicles and investigators are working to determine fault for the Rio Oso crash on Cornelius Avenue.

The fatal crash in Rio Oso remains under investigation.
