Man, 40, Killed; Woman, 67, Injured in Tulare County Car Accident
TULARE COUNTY, Calif. (Feb. 23, 2024) – A 40-year-old Strathmore man died Wednesday in a two-vehicle crash at Road 180 and Avenue 208 in Tulare County.
The California Highway Patrol reported the collision on Wednesday, Feb. 21st.
A woman driving a pickup truck allegedly drove through a stop sign and collided with the man’s car.
June A. Fisher, 67, of Strathmore, was behind the wheel of a Ram 3500 pickup truck traveling southbound on Road 180. Authorities report she allegedly failed to stop at a posted stop sign, according to a report by Your Central Valley News. Her truck crashed into the left side of the victim’s 2006 Nissan Maxima as it was traveling eastbound on Avenue 208.
Upon impact, the Nissan careened into a stop sign and wound up in a dirt field. Meanwhile, the pickup truck overturned into the dirt field.
Unfortunately, the unidentified driver of the Nissan died at the scene f the crash.
However, the pickup truck driver survived with minor injuries and paramedics transported her to a local hospital.
Traffic investigators are working on the case, but do not suspect alcohol and/or drugs were factors in this crash.
