2-Vehicle Car Accident on San Vicente Road
RAMONA, Calif. (Feb. 9, 2024) — A 21-year-old Ramona man and his 13-year-old passenger both died in a two-vehicle Ramona crash Thursday on San Vicente Road near the Barnett Ranch County Preserve.
The traffic accident occurred at about 4:45 p.m. on Feb. 8th in the 22800 block of San Vicente Road, just east of Wildcat Canyon Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The Ramona man was driving a 2007 Toyota Scion TC westbound on San Vicente Road. The car reportedly crossed into the path of an eastbound red Dodge Durango and the two vehicles collided.
Police and paramedics responded to the scene to help those injured, but both the 21-year-old man and his front-seat passenger, aged 13, died on scene.
Meanwhile, the 61-year-old Ramona woman driving the Dodge had minor injuries and was transported to a hospital for further treatment.
Police issued a SigAlert due to the crash and investigators are working to determine fault for the fatal Ramona crash on San Vicente Road.
