1 Killed, 1 Injured in Canyon Country Crash on Soledad Canyon Road
SANTA CLARITA, CA (June 17, 2021) – A crash killed one person and injured another on Soledad Canyon Road in Canyon Country.
According to The Signal and CBS Los Angeles, the tragic accident took place on Thursday evening. Officers reported the wreck shortly just before 6 p.m.
Three vehicles collided for an unknown reason in the 17600 block of Soledad Canyon Road in the Canyon Country neighborhood of Santa Clarita.
Multiple Vehicles Collide in Santa Clarita
The Los Angeles County Fire Department said the collision occurred near the Canyon Country Park and the College of the Canyons. An occupant ended up trapped in the wreckage as a result of the collision.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and then pronounced one individual dead at the scene.
Medical personnel took another patient to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released. Meanwhile, officials shut down Soledad Canyon Road between River Circle and Lost Canyon Road following the wreck.
The cause of the fatal Canyon Country crash is still under investigation.
