One Killed in Crash on SR-138 in the Lancaster Area
LANCASTER, Calif. (Nov. 28, 2023) — A fatal crash happened early Tuesday morning on State Route 138 (West Avenue D) at 185th Street East near Lancaster in the Antelope Valley.
A car and an SUV collided due to unknown circumstances on Pearblossom Highway (SR-138) at around 1:07 a.m. on Nov. 28th, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.
One of the vehicles “flipped on its side” and the other was found on the opposite side of the roadway blocking traffic lanes. Debris was scattered across the middle of the road.
Paramedics from the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to help those injured.
One person became trapped in their vehicle and died at the scene. It’s unknown how many other people were hurt in the crash.
Liability for the crash will be determined by police upon the completion of their investigation.
