Head-on Crash on State Route 20 in Williams
WILLIAMS, Calif. (August 12, 2022) — A fatal crash on State Route Highway 20 happened Friday morning, just south of Walnut Drive and Leesville Road in Williams.
The head-on crash occurred about 6:41 a.m. on August 12th in Colusa County, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.
CHP officials reported the drivers of a semi-truck and a Honda Fit collided in the westbound lanes of SR-20.
Paramedics responded to the scene, but sadly at least one person died. The report did not mention how many people were in the two vehicles.
The circumstances leading up to the collision are under investigation. The two-lane roadway was blocked by vehicles following the crash. Tow trucks removed them both for evidence.
Investigators continue to work on the case.
