Fatal Crash US Highway 395 on Halloween in Adelanto

3-Vehicle Collision on US Highway 395, Auburn Avenue

ADELANTO, Calif. (Nov. 1, 2024) — One person died in a three-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon on US Highway 395, north of Auburn Avenue in Adelanto.

The traffic accident occurred around 1:40 p.m. on Thursday, October 31st, according to a Victor Valley News Group report.

The collision involved the drivers of a blue 2016 Volkswagen Golf, a white 2001 Chevrolet Blazer SUV, and a semi-truck, the report said.

The SUV reportedly had major damage and came to a stop on its side at the east side of Highway 395. The semi-truck wound up off road in the desert.

San Bernardino County Fire sent emergency crews to the crash scene and located two people with minor injuries and one person was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s name was not released, pending notification of their family.

Police closed down Highway 395 between El Mirage Road and Chamberlaine Way for several hours as they conducted an investigation into what happened.
