One Dead, One Critically Injured in Head-on Crash on Vasco Road
LIVERMORE, Calif. (Oct. 6, 2022) — A head-on crash on North Vasco Road at Old Rooney Ranch Road in Livermore left one person dead and a man in his 30s with major injuries.
The two-vehicle crash occurred about 3:42 a.m. on Oct. 6th, in Alameda County, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials and paramedics both responded to the scene and located one person deceased and the second person with major injuries. They transported the injured man, who is believed to be 30 to 35 years old, to Eden Medical Center. The man suffered a head injury and was unresponsive with altered consciousness, the report said. He also had arm and femur fractures.
Meanwhile, the roadway remained blocked in both directions due to the crash between a white vehicle and a black vehicle.
The identities of the people involved in the crash are unknown at this time.
Investigators are piecing together what led to the fatal crash on Vasco Road and will determine liability.
