Man Killed, Woman Arrested on DUI Charges in Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Feb. 13, 2024) — A driver reportedly drove through a red light and caused a fatal crash at South Western Avenue and West Century Boulevard in the Gramercy Park area of Los Angeles.
The two-vehicle collision occurred at around 11:50 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 12th, according to KTLA 5 News. Surveillance video recorded the collision in the middle of the intersection.
A 26-year-old woman driving a gray Tesla allegedly ran a red light while heading south on Western Avenue. She crashed into an eastbound silver Chevrolet Malibu traveling on Century Boulevard, the report said.
The Tesla reportedly hit the driver’s side of the Malibu, causing major injuries to the man who died at the scene.
Meanwhile, police conducted a sobriety test on the Tesla’s driver and she was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI.
Also, two people from the Tesla were taken to a hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries.
The case remains under investigation.
