Deadly, Head-on Crash at Santa Fe and Monte Vista Avenues
DENAIR, Calif. (Sept. 16, 2021) — A fatal Denair car accident happened Thursday at Santa Fe Avenue and Monte Vista Avenue, roughly three miles east of Cal State University Stanislaus.
The head-on collision involving three motorists took place about 6:32 a.m. on Sept. 16th at the Denair intersection, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP reported two people were trapped in a vehicle following the collision. Authorities requested two helicopters to transport vehicle occupants with major injuries and sadly, at least one person died at the scene.
Authorities with the Stanislaus Sheriff’s Office closed down Santa Fe Avenue at Monte Vista Avenue, just south of Zeering Road.
Additionally, tow trucks removed all three damaged vehicles from the roadway, the CHP report said.
Finally, investigators seek to determine fault for the fatal Denair car accident.
