Motorcyclist Killed After Colliding With Semi Truck
DIAMOND BAR, Calif. (Oct. 10, 2023) – It’s unknown what led to a fatal Diamond Bar motorcycle versus truck accident early Tuesday on the Orange 57 Freeway.
UPDATED: Motorcycle rider identified
Investigators are working to determine what led to the collision between the two motorists at around 1:46 a.m. on Oct. 10th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A man riding the motorcycle died after colliding with the big rig truck in the southbound lanes of the Orange 57 Freeway near Sunset Crossing, the report said.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded with paramedics, but the man sustained major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, police issued a SigAlert for all southbound lanes of the 57 freeway.
Finally, traffic lanes were backed up for several hours on the freeway as police worked to determine fault for the motorcycle accident on the 57 Freeway as well as clear the roadway.
