Man, 56, Killed in E-Bike Collision
HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. (Sept. 5, 2024) — A 56-year-old Huntington Beach man died in a collision while riding an electric bicycle on Aug. 25th at Atlanta Avenue and Bushard Street in Huntington Beach.
The deadly crash occurred at 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 25, 2024, according to the Huntington Beach Police Department (HBPD).
The man was riding northbound on Bushard Street and hit a curb at Atlanta Avenue. It’s unknown at this time if there were any dangerous road conditions that may have contributed to the accident.
Police responded to a traffic collision and located the man suffer from life-threatening injuries. Paramedics transported the rider to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.
The HBPD Multidisciplinary Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) is asking witnesses to contact police investigator C. Houlston at (714) 536-5670.
