Fatal E-Motorcycle Crash in Burbank at Alameda Avenue, Hollywood Way

One Killed, One Injured in Burbank Collision Involving a Car and E-Bike
BURBANK, Calif. (July 29, 2026) – A crash Tuesday night involving an e-bike or electric motorcycle and a Tesla sedan in Burbank left the 16-year-old rider dead and another injured at Alameda Avenue and Hollywood Way.
The collision, which occurred around 11 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28th, caused two people riding the e-bike to be thrown into the roadway, according to the Burbank Police Department.
Both the male and female riders were severely injured and were transported to a trauma center, according to the police report.
Sadly, the male victim died at the hospital and the female remains in critical condition.
Meanwhile, the driver of the sedan stopped their vehicle and cooperated with the investigation into what happened. Detectives working on the case do not suspect alcohol or drugs.
Preliminary results of the investigation indicate the e-bike operator was traveling at excessive speed when the crash occurred.
