Fatal El Centro Car Accident at Main Street, Fairfield Drive

Two Killed in Crash at El Centro Intersection

EL CENTRO, Calif. (Feb. 6, 2025) – A fatal, multi-vehicle car accident left two dead in El Centro Wednesday afternoon at Main Street and Fairfield Drive.

The collision, possibly an illegal street race, occurred around 1:40 p.m., according to the El Centro Police Department.

Four vehicles were involved and the collision that was captured on video surveillance obtained from a business near the crash site.

One of the drivers collided with another vehicle that was making a left turn and then that vehicle hit a second vehicle in a chain-reaction collision.

One of the drivers died at the scene and a second died at El Centro Regional Medical Center.

Meanwhile, authorities arrested an Imperial man on unknown charges and he was booked into the Imperial County Jail.

The El Centro Police Department heading up an investigation into the crash and whether or not street racing was a factor.
