One Dead in Crash on 10 Freeway in El Monte
EL MONTE, Calif. (Oct. 17, 2022) — Robert Woo, 86, of El Monte, died in a pedestrian accident early Monday morning on the San Bernardino (10) Freeway at Cogswell Road.
The crash occurred about 4:03 a.m. on Oct. 17th in the westbound lanes of the Interstate 10 Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Paramedics pronounced Robert Woo dead at the scene, police said.
Authorities issued a SigAlert and closed down the westbound Nos. 3 and 4 lanes, just west of Durfee Avenue.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault.
