ELK GROVE, Calif. (February 3, 2023)– A 53-year-old Elk Grove man died Thursday in a pedestrian accident on State Route Highway 99 in Elk Grove.
The deadly crash occurred about 7:15 p.m. on Feb. 2nd, near Calvine Road, according to KCRA3 and FOX40 News.
The man attempted to cross Highway 99 when he was hit by two passing vehicles. The motorists reportedly pulled over and stopped after the crash.
Fatal Pedestrian Accident in Elk Grove
Paramedics responded and located the victim on the ground. Despite life-saving measures performed by medical personnel, the man died at the scene. The Sacramento County Sheriff Coroner identified the victim on its website after his wife was notified.
The drivers both cooperated with the investigation process.
Meanwhile, investigators are working on the case and will determine fault for the crash on Highway 99 near Calvine Road.
