Man, 37, Struck and Killed in Encinitas

ENCINITAS, Calif. (Nov. 10, 2023) — A fatal Encinitas pedestrian accident happened Wednesday night on North El Camino Real.

The pedestrian accident occurred at around 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 8th, according to the a police report.

A 37-year-old man was hit by a vehicle in the roadway due to unknown circumstances, the report said.

The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department responded after receiving a 911 call that a pedestrian was struck by a car in the 200 block of North El Camino Real.

Paramedics also were at the scene and provided medical aid to the victim before transferring him by ambulance to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, the man died at the hospital shortly after his arrival.

Meanwhile, the driver involved in the collision stopped and cooperated with the investigation.
